We are looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Specialist to be responsible for our marketing strategies, including Friends of Matènwa's social media platforms, blog and website.

Our ideal candidate is a creative marketing professional with a passion for social justice and strong writing skills in English and Haitian Creole. Candidate should be able to develop engaging content to increase FoM's online visibility, attract potential donors and improve donor retention.

• Develop, implement and manage FoM's social media strategy

• Manage and oversee social media content

• Produce valuable, relevant, and consistent content

• Communicate with professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network

• Monitor social media engagement and suggest content optimization

• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies

• Work with development specialist to develop and analyze successful social media campaigns

• Work with development specialist to receive donor feedback and generate ideas to increase donor engagement

• Attend networking events

• 2-3 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role

• Experience with visual storytelling for content marketing

• Experience producing creative content

• Experience monitoring and analyzing web traffic metrics

• Expertise managing social media platforms, blogs and websites

• Good understanding of social media key performance indicators

• Must be self-motivated with strong work-ethic

• Great critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Great interpersonal skill

• Familiarity with web design and publishing is a plus

• Must be willing to travel to rural Haiti

• Excellent written communication in English + Haitian Creole*

• BA degree in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field preferred
